Water tank disinfection in Dubai is the final step of every proper tank clean, but it is also booked on its own. A tank that has just been repaired, a new tank that has never held drinking water, or a villa that stood closed all summer are all good reasons to have the tank treated before the family uses the water again.
Cleaning first, then disinfection
Disinfection only works on a clean surface. Sludge on the floor and the slippery biofilm on the walls shelter bacteria from the product, so a good company will not simply pour a disinfectant into a dirty tank. If they see sediment, they will recommend water tank cleaning first, or both in one visit. That is honest advice, not an upsell.
How it is done
The company works out the dose from the tank volume, applies an approved product to the walls and the water, and leaves it for the contact time the product specifies. The tank is then drained or flushed and refilled so that the water at the taps is ready to use. Reputable companies use products approved for drinking water tanks, and you can ask for the product name and data sheet.

Will the water taste of chlorine?
